Kelisen Molloy | elder law and divorce attorney

Kelisen is a certified collaborative divorce attorney and divorce mediator. She serves on the Missouri Bar and Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Estate Planning and Probate committees. 

Kelisen is licensed in Missouri and Kansas.  She teaches courses in divorce mediation on both sides of the state line. She is one of very few court appointed mediators in Clay, Platte, and Jackson County, Missouri. 

Kelisen is a published author in the Kansas City Bar Journal. In 2021, she was ranked as one of the top 10 attorneys under 40 by the National Association of Family Law Attorneys. The following year she was selected as a Marquis Who's Who in America. Kelisen has been chosen as a Super Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Media every year since 2020. Kelisen was awarded Expertise Best Estate Planning Attorney in Kansas City award in 2024.

Kelisen is a co-chair of the estate planning and probate committee through the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. She is a past chair of the Young Lawyer Committee and a previous board member on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation.  

Kelisen is a Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurion from the graduation class of 2020. She serves on the board of directors for the Support on the Spectrum, a non-profit organization assisting parents of persons who have a disability to plan for future care of their children. She founded Legal Services for Families of Missouri, a non-profit providing legal resources for Missouri families.  

Kelisen is an experienced and knowledgable estate planning and probate administration attorney. Her practice focuses on drafting medicaid and long term care planning through general durable powers of attorney, medical durable powers of attorney, advanced directives, trusts, last wills and testaments, and special needs trusts. 

Kelisen is a member of WealthCounsel, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Care Planning Council, the Association of Missouri Mediators,  and the Kansas and Missouri Bar Associations. 

The Binder Firm won first place in Kansas City's Favorite competition through the Kansas City Star for both Divorce law firms and Family Law firms in 2024. 

Morgan is an associate at The Binder Firm specializing in Family Law and Divorce. She grew up in a small town on the western slope of Colorado and graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2021 with a degree in agricultural communications. Morgan earned her Juris Doctorate in May 2024 from Texas A&M University School of Law. She brings valuable mediation and family law experience to The Binder Firm. She is passionate about helping people and understands how difficult and draining the divorce process can be. Morgan strives to provide empathetic, efficient, and effective service to every client.

Morgan is a certified Missouri mediator specializing in resolution dispute in family law, child custody and divorce disputes. She is also a student of the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy. 

Morgan is called upon by the Court in Clay County, Jackson County and Platte County, Missouri for her expertise in mediation resolving family law disputes. 

Morgan is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem serving families in Kansas City, Missouri in child custody and divorce cases.
